Our Story

Established in 2016, Sunbird Rooibos started as a husband and wife business - a former South African winemaker and a Finnish geographer - that combines a love of the Cape's natural places with a passion for fine flavours.

We want to sell our high quality products to Rooibos lovers locally and export the best rooibos teas to the world - all while creating jobs and opportunities in South Africa.
