Glasses of hibiscus and rooibos ice tea

Strawberry Hibiscus and Rooibos ice tea

A beautiful sweet tart iced tea to refresh on any hot day!  This delicious iced tea fits perfectly at any family picnic or an afternoon poolside with friends.  See our other hibiscus iced tea recipe here.

Because of the vibrant red hue this iced tea has, you know it’s packed with many antioxidants to combat those free radicals.  It can help lower your blood pressure as well as maintain healthy blood sugar levels.  This tea can also potentially help support healthy triglyceride levels.  Read more about why rooibos is so healthy for you here.

Strawberry hibiscus iced tea

  • 8 cups water
  • 8 Superior Hibiscus and Rooibos tea bags
  • 1 cup sugar or ¾ cup honey (optional)
  • ½ cup lime juice
  • 2 cups frozen strawberries

Bring the water, Hibiscus and Rooibos tea bags, and preferred sweetener to a boil and immediately turn off the heat, cover, and let steep for 10 minutes.  Stir the mixture a bit to ensure granulated sugar is dissolved and strain half into a blender.  You puree in two batches.  Using half of the strawberries, puree until smooth and pour into a pitcher.  Continue with the rest of the tea and strawberries.  Once pureed, mix with the other in the pitcher.  Taste and add additional sweetener if desired.  Serve ice cold, stirred or shaken before pouring into a glass. Down the hatchet!
